Another Biden fan goes for Hillary

In the caucus of life, it looks like the second choice for former supporters of U.S. Sen. Joe Biden is Hillary Clinton. We already reported that key Biden staffer Ronni Council has signed on as a senior adviser to the Clinton campaign after Biden left the race after a disappointing finish in the Iowa caucus. Now, it seems that early Biden endorser state Sen. Bob Coffin has signed up as well.

The Clinton campaign, perhaps overstating the case a bit by calling it a "wave of momentum," quoted Coffin thusly:

"Hillary Clinton is ready to bring the change that everyone knows we need and everyone wants,” said state Senator Bob Coffin. "I have been an insurance broker for 39 years, and a Nevada legislator for 25 years, and I know our health care system is broken. Hillary is the only candidate who has the guts to deliver universal health care for all Nevadans – and our country. Hillary has the strength and experience to enact change on day one in the Oval Office."

In other news, Clinton rival U.S. Sen. Barack Obama has received the endorsement of U.S. Sen. John Kerry, who barely lost the presidency in 2004 to George W. Bush. That endorsement is a snub to U.S. Sen. John Edwards, who was Kerry’s 2004 running mate.

We know what you’re asking: Who will we at Various Things & Stuff endorse, now that our main man Biden has dropped out? We’re taking a cue from the Culinary Union and keeping our choice close to the vest, people. Who knows where the mighty Various Things & Stuff endorsement will go? And who can estimate the power such an endorsement would carry? Stay tuned!
