Many people predicted that former Clark County Sheriff Bill Young wouldn’t be jobless for long, and that he’d probably hook up with a casino company as director of security. Station Casinos, perhaps? Well, it has come true, people! It was just announced that Young would take a job as vice president of corporate security for the locals gaming giant.
Well, guess that means no hip-hop concerts at Red Rock Station. On the upside, we’re going to be seeing a lot of The Eagles, which is just fine with us at Various Things & Stuff.

FORMER CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF BILL YOUNG JOINS STATION CASINOS
(Las Vegas, Nev.) Former Clark County Sheriff and fourth-generation Nevadan Bill Young has joined Station Casinos, Inc. effective today as the corporate vice president of security. A 28-year veteran of the metropolitan police department, Young served as sheriff from January 2003-January 2007.
In his position, Young will oversee the security and surveillance departments and its team members for the Company’s 16 properties in Southern Nevada.
