It’s lawmaking time, people! And that’s why, early on Monday morning, we at Various Things & Stuff will be winging our way to the frozen tundra of the north to cover the very first week of the 74th session of the Nevada Legislature. We even bought special waterproof shoes for the occasion. We hear there’s snow up in Carson City.

But never fear: We won’t stop blogging, although we’ll be away from our home turf. We’re grabbing our trusty Apple iBook (circa 2003) and hope to have daily posts telling of the amazing sights and sounds of the beginning of a legislative session. And we’ll probably pen a thing or two about it in CityLife as well.

So, stay tuned, as it’s sure to be exciting. Or at least a mini-working vacation.
